Terms of Service

Version 2026-10-30. These terms are between you and KAPT Ventures.

What this service is

Friend You Need offers private voice conversations with a trained listener. It is emotional support, not therapy, counselling, medical advice, diagnosis or emergency care. Listeners do not prescribe or treat. If you are in danger or thinking of harming yourself, call your local emergency number or Tele-MANAS (14416) now.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or over. Giving a false age or identity breaches these terms and may be an offence under law; liability for that rests with you. One booking is for one person.

Our listeners

Listeners are trained in active listening and emotional support. They are not licensed psychologists, psychiatrists, counsellors or doctors. Do not ask them for diagnosis, prescriptions, or clinical or medical advice.

Booking and payment

Prices are in rupees and include applicable taxes. A slot is held for you while you pay and is confirmed when payment succeeds. Your private link is sent to your email. Do not share it.

Your conduct

Be respectful. Do not record, abuse, threaten or harass anyone, share anyone else's personal information, try to contact or meet a listener outside the platform, or use the service for anything unlawful. We may end a session or block access for serious misuse, without refund for that session.

Privacy

Sessions are not recorded by us. You agree not to record them either. See our Privacy Policy.

Limits

We work to keep the service available but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for sessions in the 30 days before the claim. We are not responsible for decisions or actions that follow a conversation. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Changes

We will tell you by email at least 14 days before a material change takes effect.

Law and disputes

Indian law applies. Courts at Delhi have jurisdiction, subject to your consumer rights. Write to info@friendyouneed.com first and we will try to resolve it.
